    Avatar Participant Profile: Milind Bhat

Milind Bhat is one of the CRIN-supported participants in the Avatar Program this year. He shared some of the highlights of his experience in Avatar Ignite, a leadership development program that puts participants to work on real-world energy technology challenges.

    About Milind Bhat:

Participating in the Avatar Ignite program has inspired Bhat to start his own consulting firm, Everyday AI. Prior to this, he worked as a product manager for over 10 years at various technology companies. Over the past four years, he has been involved in building AI SaaS products. He is currently based in Surrey, B.C.

    About the Avatar Ignite experience:

If Bhat could describe the Ignite program in a single word, it would be “inspiring.”

“The biggest highlight for me was the practical experience with entrepreneurship,” he says.

“The program showed me how to identify problems, break down challenges, explore solutions and validate market value. I got to connect with stakeholders at different levels of the organization while learning a lot about the industry. I highly recommend the program to anyone interested in entrepreneurship.”

    About GridWattExchange:

Bhat’s team, GridWattExchange, proposed its business solution to a panel of judges at Shark Tank on May 14.

“GridWattExchange lets nearby industrial sites share electricity directly with each other using a private connection and smart software—helping them save money and reduce strain on the main power grid,” he says.

    Next steps:

Bhat is focused on growing his AI consulting business. His team, GridWattExchange, has also made it to Avatar Studio, a technology development studio that advances industry-validated concepts and IP.

“I am really excited to continue my journey into Avatar Studio,” he says. “I’m looking forward to working with my team and building a solution.”
