CRIN & GERI
The Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN), in collaboration with General Energy Recovery Inc. (GERI) invite you to join us in person at the Energy Transition Centre in downtown Calgary on March 5, 2024 @ 12pm for this 'lunch and learn'.
General Energy Recovery Inc. (GERI)’s journey is a testament to the challenges and triumphs faced by many start-ups in the pursuit of innovative technologies, particularly those looking to bring forward technologies that reduce the environmental footprint of oil and gas production in Canada. Their journey, supported by committed investors, exemplifies the challenges start-ups face when developing innovative technologies.
Embracing the ‘Fail Fast’ approach, GERI learned valuable lessons about what works and what doesn’t, enabling them to envision, build, and test over 70 progressive engineering designs. As they progressed, GERI remained focused on their end goals: technical and operational performance, cost-effectiveness, and capability.
Having now developed a proprietary technology to harness untapped oil in heavy oil fields, GERI’s story serves as an inspiration for many start-ups developing new technologies to assist energy companies in transitioning towards low carbon intensity operations.
