For oil and gas owners and operators who aspire to implement a digital twin of their legacy brownfield facilities, VEERUM provides a cost-effective, easy-to-maintain method of leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) to connect enterprise information management systems to virtual reality models of their assets.

According to VEERUM’s study, over 70% of current oil and gas assets are brownfield legacy in nature and do not have up-to-date digital as-builts to leverage for design, engineering, construction, operations, maintenance and decommissioning. This current state results in significant cost, travel and safety exposure to update an asset.

A digital twin enables an asset’s workforce by aggregating data into one geo-referenced common viewing environment accessible from any location in the world via a web browser. This technology is a springboard for further AI/ML and asset advanced analytics and is a valuable catalyst for an expected return on investment (ROI) of between 10 – 40x.
