Cost-Effective and Accurate End-to-End Multi-Sensor Digital Platform for Methane Detection, Quantification, Monitoring, Reporting, and Prediction

    Solution Developer

    SensorUp Inc.

    Project Description

SensorUp is a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) -award-winning data fabric cloud platform that interconnects the world’s real-time sensor data and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-predictions, empowering the connected workers of the future to apply intelligent automation for productivity, safety, quality and job satisfaction.

This project will build an integrated methane sensor web that will significantly reduce mean-time-to-detect and mean-time-to-repair methane emissions. The proposed technology has the potential to provide a breakthrough solution to improve the environmental impacts and performance of the oil and gas industry’s methane emissions management.

This project will be carried out at 400 sites distributed among producer partners primarily in Alberta. These partners will be valuable collaborators and will assist in creating an ecosystem of industrial AI and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.

    Benefits/Outcomes

    • The SensorUp technology could be a key solution for producers to manage real-time data across a large number of sites with disparate sensors, providing actionable insights that will yield economic and environmental benefits.

    • This technology will allow oil and gas companies to work in new advanced ways, transitioning from traditional monitoring processes and predicting early leaks to preventing them altogether.

    • This innovation will keep workers safer, more productive, and better informed.

    • This innovation will be a key enabler for producers to chart a net-zero pathway.
